Meet J.C. - he has had a passion for languages starting from a very young age. Since then he embarked on a career where language learning and teaching were central to his work and daily tasks. Ultimately he found a path with Pipplet.

J.C. joins our Pipplet examiner community with over 17 years of professional experience and virtually a lifetime of personal experience. Coming from a multilingual family, a love for languages has come almost naturally.

What do you think makes the Pipplet test special?

The Pipplet test gives candidates the platform to show their ability in various facets of language, including reading, speaking and writing. They are also asked to demonstrate their ability in real-world situations, such as describing a scene, interacting with a client or conversing with a colleague. In addition, Pipplet uses qualified, native speaking examiners to perform these language tests. There are so many nuances to language even in tones of voice, minor inflections and idiomatic expressions that can easily get overlooked, but that demonstrate the level of fluency of the candidate. Using native speaking examiners and Pipplet’s thorough testing method ensures that these details don’t get overlooked, and that candidates have the opportunity to show their true ability.

Quick Tipplet 2: Pipplet assesses more than just reading skills. We advocate for a holistic assessment because this supports a better comprehension of skills. We assess how well people speak, write, listen and read. Test takers have the option to skip questions if they wish, but ultimately, we believe our full-spectrum assessment tests will support greater confidence.
