Pipplet joined EdTech France in 2020!

Pipplet • 12 mars 2020
Last month, we decided to join EdTech France, the representative association of technology companies in the education field. We could not resist the energy of its director Rémy Challe and we wanted to move forward for the promotion of educational technologies.

What is EdTech France?

EdTech France is the association that brings together French entrepreneurs who participate in the development of innovative solutions in the field of secondary education, post-secondary education, and continuing professional training. Basically, all the companies that promote the use of technology for skills development, young and old.
Joining up is an opportunity to get all these companies talking about the same thing, each of which in turn is inventing solutions to make skills more accessible.

But Pipplet is mainly language tests for recruitment, right?

Initially yes, Pipplet are language tests for recruitment, allowing companies to validate the language skills of their candidates for recruitment.

But since 2017 Pipplet has also been a recognized certification under the CPF and therefore used by more than 150 training organizations. The link between recruitment and continuing education was obvious.

Today, Pipplet begins to be used by higher education institutions, replacing the older, more traditional tests. Finally, students will be able to stop cramming multiple choice tests and have a representative assessment of their ability to work in the language.

What is the future for languages and technologies?

We said in a previous article, if for years technological promises made us believe that it is possible to replace language learning with a headset, reality has proved us the opposite. Languages are first of all, a human exchange. If today your phone is struggling to understand you when you want to enter a GPS destination, it is far from being able to tell you if your speech is correct. Our approach is therefore hybrid, a computerized interface for human evaluation. And we think this is the approach to promote for EdTech. IT and digital can simplify exchanges, avoid travel, disseminate knowledge, but learning will always be a human process.

Congratulations to EdTech France and all of its education entrepreneurs to help us in this task. We are very happy to join them!
