Pipplet Language Examiner help produce trusted and valid results to corporate clients in the human resources recruitment sector

Pipplet’s Language Examiners play an integral role in the validity of our test results. Ultimately, as a client, it’s important to know you’ll receive results from qualified language professionals who have a certain level of experience behind them.

Chineze is one of our Pipplet Language Examiners and has been teaching languages for the last 30 years. Her passion for teaching language began early on in life, at school. Chineze shares, “I began to appreciate the beauty of language in English class. Then, later on, I also discovered how language, especially English, can open doors and change lives. So, I wanted the satisfaction of empowering others through language teaching."

Passion certainly fuels our examiners, and with Chineze, she has the passion and years of experience that makes her an added value to our community of Pipplet expert examiners.

Quick Tipplet 1: Mastering a language involves grasping: reception, which is when we listen or read something and partially understand it; production, which is when we speak or write; and interaction, which is when these two activities intertwine, and we participate in a conversation with interlocutors. Pipplet holds each of these with high importance when it comes to the development of test material.

What do you think makes the Pipplet test special?

First, the adaptability of the material used is a benefit to both the test taker and a business. The same photos or scenarios can be used for oral responses in some tests and for written responses in other tests. Second, the diversity of the material. The array of content used on each test really does portray various countries, cultures, and experiences well, making the evaluation of colloquial expressions easy to identify and link to specific languages. Last, by adhering to the CEFR guidelines, the clear, well-thought-out material and questions cover all the aspects that are necessary for an effective evaluation of language skills.

Quick Tipplet 2: Even though we have a rigid 24-hour turn around time for test evaluations, being able to provide our language examiners a space where they feel supported, listened to, but also challenged has helped create an effective, professional relationship with our evaluators.

What are some of your favorite things about working at Pipplet?

When working for Pipplet, I really enjoy the autonomy but also greatly appreciate that practical help and solid support is readily available whenever it's needed. You feel secure in the knowledge that there's a team there that has your back!

I also appreciate the use of a "deadline system". It provides a lot of flexibility, allowing the assessments to fit easily into an existing personal or professional schedule.

In the end, why would you recommend the Pipplet test for corporate recruiters and language learning centers?

Yes, I would definitely recommend the Pipplet test for corporations to use for candidate evaluation, for all the reasons mentioned in my answer to the above question.

Quick Tipplet 3: Being able to develop a language test that assesses a candidate’s ability to function in different situations in the target language is the aim of our tests. We evaluate a candidate’s knowledge of the structure, vocabulary, grammar, typically across reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities.
