Welcome to our new Pipplet team members!
This week, we've welcomed two new faces to the Pipplet team - Luis and Mathieu. We've asked them some questions...so read on to get to know them better :)
What's your name and where are you from?
L: My name is Luis Caridade and I’m 20 years old. I’m Portuguese but I was born in Paris. I’ve lived in Clamart next to Paris since I was 2 and I’ve always been interested in working in the commercial field, especially internationally.
M: My name is Mathieu Franzen, I'm 20. I come from a town called Forbach in the East of France.
What will you be doing at Pipplet?
L: Earlier this year, I did a 2 month internship in sales for Pipplet - during this time I did telephone prospecting, customer recovery and market research.
Now, I’ve come back to Pipplet as an apprentice in Customer Success. This role involves a lot of tasks including customer recovery, marketing strategy, organising and improving communication plans with our partners and analysing the behaviours and actions of our competitors.
M: I’ll be at Pipplet for the next year, and while I am here I will be working on design. This will include improving visual aspects of the website, creating new pages and evolving the visual identity of Pipplet.
Are you studying? If so what are you studying?
L: Yes, I’ve just started my third year of graduate studies in Sales - a one-year diploma called "Bachelor Commercial Development Manager” where I’m going to study negotiation, marketing strategy and economics.
M: Yes I'm studying in Bagnolet in Paris. I have a DNMADE (Diplôme National des Métiers d’Art et du Design) specialising in digital. I hope to become a UX designer, 2D or 3D animator, or an art director.
Do you speak any other languages?
L: Yes, I’m fluent in Portuguese, I have a pretty good level in Spanish and English but I’m working hard to improve my english because I still find some aspects tricky.
And finally, I have started to learn Japanese because one of my biggest dreams is to go to Japan to learn more about their culture, history and of course gastronomy.
M: I speak French, English and a tiny bit of German.
Tell us a bit about what you like to do when you're not at work
L: I’ve always been a very sociable person, which is why during my studies I decided to join several student associations where I organized parties, events and also where I was able to use my business skills and my foreign languages when negotiating with partners for the events I organised. I learnt a lot about myself and many new skills, like how to organise an integration weekend for 600 students!
M: I like to travel, and practice scuba diving. I'm having fun doing a video compilation of footage I’ve taken on land and underwater during each of my holidays.
