Can you tell us about AVlingua?
At AVlingua, I specifically help expats living in France improve their level of French and transition smoothly in France so that they feel confident and comfortable in their new host country!
How are foreign languages important in your business?
My students come to me all sharing similar anxieties. They struggle with their confidence when it comes to speaking French out of fear of making mistakes. They also have difficulty understanding French, films, series, songs, and other cultural elements. Making an appointment with a doctor, for example, can be a real nightmare for them as well. So, I do my best to create a friendly atmosphere in the classroom, reassuring them and congratulating them on both their small and big victories.
Lastly, on top of my teaching the French language, I like to also throw in cultural French nuances to answer their sociocultural questions. For example, "What can I offer to a friend who invites me to dinner?" and, administrative "I received a bill that was too high. How should I respond?”.
Why were you initially interested in Pipplet?
I really wanted the training I offer to be certifiable and finding Pipplet allowed me to offer this to my students.
After a few months of use, what's the conclusion?
I have FINALLY found an online exam that is flexible, and has a team that is always listening!
If you had to recommend Pipplet to your contacts, what would you say?
First, I would recommend Pipplet, yes. And when I do, I would tell those I’m recommending the Pipplet tests to, that they are very practical means to have their students evaluated. They have experienced language examiners who actually review tests objectively!
